Marketing Coordinator

Position Summary:
The Marketing Coordinator works closely with the Marketing Manager to implement direct marketing plans for all concerts presented by the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association.
Position Elements:
- Work closely with the Marketing Manager in the development and implementation of marketing strategy and plans for increasing ticket sales to all LA Phil concerts.
- Manage direct mail projects and external database for Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Hollywood Bowl. This includes supervision of mailing house and database vendors, database management, delivery of materials and ensuring projects come in on budget.
- Research, plan and manage internal/external list needs in relation to exchanges/rentals, direct mail, and telemarketing. Coordinate efforts with Online Marketing Manager.
- Analyze response reports and make recommendations to select best target audience. Provide direct mail campaign analysis, including direct mail season analysis.
- Work closely with Marketing Analyst on marketing list creation. Once trained, be able to run basic reports and do list selection in ticketing system as needed. Be the back-up to the Marketing Analyst.
- Perform marketing analysis as necessary such as handling fees, competitive pricing information and other market based research.
- Coordinate research plan and assist Marketing Manager in creation and implementation of marketing surveys, analysis, reports and presentations.
- Provide target demographic profiles and research analysis to inform creative development and messaging in direct mail campaigns.
- Manage invoice tracking system and expenditure report for marketing department. Oversee invoice coding and record keeping. Provide forecasting and budget analysis in timely manner to assist Marketing Manager with budget management.
- Assist in the sales analysis and reporting as needed.
Position Requirements:
- B.A. or B.S. in business, marketing/sales, communications or related field
- Must have extensive computer skills including Microsoft Office suite
- Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with teams in a fast-paced, goal oriented environment
- Must have the ability to multi-task and work within deadlines
- Must be positive, hardworking and strategic
