
Join the LA Phil and LA’s vibrant musical community for a FREE concert and live webcast welcoming Gustavo Dudamel!
Gustavo Dudamel’s inaugural season as Music Director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic kicks off on Saturday, October 3 at the Hollywood Bowl with ¡Bienvenido Gustavo!, a Target Free Community Concert. This unprecedented event celebrates the arrival of Gustavo Dudamel, the talented, young Venezuelan conductor, to his new home, the city of Los Angeles.
The first half of this free community event features young local ensembles, rising stars and established names who have served as role models for the next generation of musicians in their communities. The evening culminates with Gustavo leading the Los Angeles Philharmonic in Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, plus fireworks!
Webcast
There will be a live HD webcast of ¡Bienvenido Gustavo!, a Target® Free Community Concert at the Hollywood Bowl on October 3. This event marks the very first time a performance has been webcast from the iconic venue. The webcast will be available to watch on LAPhil.com, and all individual performances from the concert can be viewed on demand for 24 hours beginning at 10 AM PST on Sunday, October 4.

How To Get Tickets
Due to an overwhelmingly positive response by Angelenos, tickets for ¡Bienvenido Gustavo! are no longer available. Since this is a free event, we anticipate that there may be some tickets returned closer to the date of the performance. You may want to try back two weeks prior to the concert.
Getting to the Bowl
Parking at the Hollywood Bowl is extremely limited. All parking lots are stack parked and there is no early exit. Parking prices are $14 - $30. Patrons are strongly encouraged to use Park & Ride, the Bowl Shuttles and the Metro:
- Park & Ride: There are 14 Park & Ride locations. The round trip fee per person is $5 if purchased in advance, $8 at the lot; there is no fee to park in Park & Ride locations. Get Park & Ride locations.
- Bowl Shuttles: There are 4 Bowl Shuttle locations. The round trip fee per person is $4 and there is no fee to park except at Hollywood & Highland, where separate parking changes apply. Get Bowl Shuttle locations.
- Metro: From the Metro stations at either Hollywood & Highland or Universal City, it’s just a short walk to a Bowl Shuttle lot, where the fare is free by showing your Red Line pass. Regular Metro bus lines serving the Hollywood Bowl:
- No. 222 Local (from West Hills, Burbank, and Hollywood)
- No. 156 Local (from San Fernando Valley or L.A.)
Food and Picnic Options
You are welcome to bring food and drink to the Hollywood Bowl or you can purchase food on site. Picnicking is a long-standing tradition at the Hollywood Bowl.
Large containers, picnic baskets, or coolers measuring more than 15" wide, 15" high, or 20" long will not be permitted past the ticket gate. Re-usable containers (such as Tupperware or sipper bottles) holding food or beverages are permitted in the theater, as are wine bottles and wine glasses.
