The Mission of our Professional Development Initiatives is to further develop and support teaching skills of musicians and teachers so that students' music learning is deepened.
We Aim to:
- Develop a sense of faculty among those who work together in LA Phil's Education programs - LA Phil musicians, teaching artists, school based music specialists, and classroom teachers.
- Demonstrate best teaching and learning practices.
- Investigate the dual role of artist and teacher.
- Share, practice, and develop curricula for specific programs.
- Offer participants more access to the LA Phil's high quality musicians and world-class concert hall.
