The World in Your Backyard
We have new hosts for SummerSounds 2010! Join them as they explore music in Los Angeles, one of the most exciting cities in the world, where diverse cultures influence and enrich one another in unique ways.
Meet Emily.
She’s a student who just moved in. She is curious and can’t wait to find out about the musical traditions around her new neighborhood. Each week Emily receives a postcard that will inspire a treasure hunt for musical discoveries throughout L.A.
Meet Mr. Kay.
He’s Emily’s neighbor, and he is a bit of a curmudgeon. He may not be as inquisitive as Emily but he can’t help get swept up in her adventures.
Don’t forget Mr. Barnabus.
Remember him? He might not talk very much, but his music speaks volumes!
Join them as they embark on a new adventure every 2 weeks, making new friends and celebrating their music.
