HAMILTON DE HOLANDA started to play at the age of 5 (1981) and today is one of the most acclaimed Brazilian musicians with a career full of prizes. His last prize was the Latin Grammy for the best instrumental album in 2016 and the Echo Jazz 2016 in Germany. Hamilton renewed the history of the instrument by adding two extra strings to the mandolin (10 strings) and creating a unique technique for it. He performs all over the world with different ensembles and collaborations. From solo to orchestras, from samba to jazz, from clubs to big crowds, and collaborations and recording with names like Wynton Marsalis, Chucho Valdés, Stefano Bollani, Richard Galliano, John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin), Chick Corea, just to name a few.
