Aaron Neville's Christmas Show Added to the 2012/13 Deck the Hall Series at WDCH

2012/13 DECK THE HALL HOLIDAY CONCERTS

AARON NEVILLE’S CHRISTMAS SHOW BRINGS NEW ORLEANS-STYLE HOLIDAY CHEER TO WALT DISNEY CONCERT HALL

December 18, 2012, at 8 p.m.

Tickets Available August 19, 2012

Celebrating the season with New Orleans holiday cheer, Aaron Neville brings his signature vibrato and unique voice to Christmas carols, R&B favorites and some classic pop tunes for a special one-night-only performance at Walt Disney Concert Hall.

Over the past five decades, the indelible spirit of New Orleans has been synonymous with the musical dynasty known as the Neville Brothers. Aaron Neville’s unmistakable voice, familiar to millions of fans worldwide, has energized concert hall for more than four decades. Ever since his first musical success with "Tell It Like It Is," Neville remains a soulful musical force in his 50th year in recorded music.

Neville will make is Blue Note label debut with a new release, a doo-wop project, due in September, produced by Don Was with Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones.

For his latest release I Know I’ve Been Changed, Neville returned to the music he loved first—gospel music—and reunited with Allen Toussaint, the legendary songwriter, musician and producer who produced Aaron’s first recording session in 1960. Producer Joe Henry and Neville recorded I Know I’ve Been Changed over a period of five days, using a stripped-down production approach to showcase the strength of the twelve handpicked songs, as well as the beauty of Neville’s vocals. On this project Aaron Neville captures the spirit of New Orleans—reflecting the hope of his hometown, drawing hope from his faith, spreading hope through his music.
