Awesome!! What a treasured memory Thanks for sharing that, David! BTW, My first visit to the Hollywood Bowl (in the early 90s) was on a “movie” night; they were showing The Sound of Music. However, the evening started with performance by Cab Calloway. Were you there for that performance? Does anyone remember what year that was?

What a great story to see the Legendary Beatles in the 60s front and center. My brother-in-law was also at the Bowl along with his mom. Today 40 years later, his mom is still a great fan of the Beatles. I’d wish I would have gotten a chance to see the Beatles back then, but I wasn’t born yet. Speaking of Beatles, I hope that Paul McCartney will play your venue soon.

My boyfriend, Roger, and I were there, too, enjoying the Hall of Fame concert and your induction. We loved every minute of it, including your reaction to the plaque that was presented to you. The woman who brought it out was dressed in vibrant red. You had exclaimed “Wow!” Then you quickly commented that your reaction was not to the woman (who was rather attractive), but the award! A lot of us in the audience had a good laugh at that moment! And your duet with Josh Groban on the piece “Mi Mancherai” from the film “Il Postino”….absolutely beautiful, so much so that I was had tears in my eyes. Thank you for creating some of the most precious memories I have of the Bowl!
