About This Performance
Turandot, Puccini’s extravagant portrayal of a legendary China, comes to the Hollywood Bowl in a concert production. Opera star Christine Brewer stars as the icy princess who challenges her suitors to a game of riddles to win her heart. Conducting his second opera at the Bowl, Music Director Gustavo Dudamel leads this story of love, featuring some of the most beloved arias of all time, such as “Nessun dorma.”
This concert benefits the Los Angeles Philharmonic Musicians Pension Fund. Our thanks to the Philharmonic musicians for contributing their services this evening.
405 Closure Information
Park & Ride:
All Bowl Park & Ride buses will leave at their scheduled departure times, but may arrive at the Bowl later than usual due to the I-405 closure. Choosing an early departure time, purchasing your Park & Ride tickets in advance and arriving to the lot well ahead of your scheduled departure is highly recommended. Our bus drivers will be doing their best in this unpredictable situation.
The 10-mile stretch of I-405 freeway between I-10 and U.S. 101 will be closed starting at 7pm on Friday, July 15 through 6am on Monday, July 18. Traffic conditions on local streets and freeways within the region of Los Angeles County and beyond are expected to be severe, with significant, multi-hour delays. It is recommended that patrons visiting the Hollywood Bowl during the weekend of July 15-17 avoid the vicinity of the closure. Patrons are advised to plan ahead, monitor real-time traffic conditions prior to beginning their trip, and follow alternate routes. Detailed information regarding the closure and alternate routes can be found at Metro.net/405.
