She released her sixth full-length album, We’ve Been Going About This All Wrong, in May 2022. Ahead of its release, Pitchfork profiled Van Etten, stating, “Sharon Van Etten is an institution now,” while Rolling Stone called her “one of the most fearless, soul-shredding songwriters on the planet.”
