About this Performance

Father John Misty sings with the richness and command of a classic balladeer, but his sophisticated folk sound finds him devilishly examining the modern world, love, and himself, including cuts from the Grammy®-winning album Pure Comedy. Gillian Welch and her longtime musical partner David Rawlings, pillars of the modern acoustic music world, will perform an intimate set.

A film premiere will close Hollywood Blvd. between Highland Ave. and Orange Ave., and a heavily sold concert at the Ford Amphitheatre will add to the congestion. Please use alternative transportation if possible (Park & Ride, Bowl Shuttle, Lyft) and give yourself plenty of time to get to the Bowl prior to the concert.
