About this Artist
Ziv is a 17 year old composer, pianist, and improviser from Los Angeles. He began piano at age six, studying for a decade under Juilliard-trained pianist Val Goldes. By 13, he was competing internationally and performed at venues such as Carnegie Hall and in Beethoven's birthplace, Bonn. His awards include First Prize in the 2023 Artciál International Piano Competition and the 2021 Golden Classical Music Awards. In high school, Ziv discovered jazz and improvisation, studying with pianist Mike Garson and shifting to composition and jazz. Over the past two years, he has written extensively for diverse genres and ensembles, submitting to competitions such as the Indie Film Music Contest and festivals including the Sunset Chamberfest. Ziv's unique compositional style is inspired by composers from John Williams to Ravel, and he plans to continue his musical journey through college.
