About this Artist
Vinnie Geyer is a 17 year old member of the Composer Fellowship Program. She began composing music in the piano program at her high school at 15 years old. Prior to this, she had been producing electronic music.
Her main goal for composing is to expand the reach of classical music by living composers. Much of classical music performed today is by composers who are long gone - with many pieces being centuries old. She wants to evoke the unique emotions felt by people who live in the current time period to complement and expand upon those of traditional Classical pieces. Believing that some modern day experiences are indescribable from the point of view of someone who lived hundreds of years ago, she seeks to put emotions felt by the average person in the 21st century into sound without sacrificing the love, anger, and struggle of life that cross all eras.
