Described as "an impressive voice with imperial presence", Saioa Hernandez is one of the most sought-after voices by leading theaters and orchestras worldwide, including Teatro alla Scala di Milano, Wiener Staatsoper, Opéra de Paris, Bayerische Staatsoper, Berliner Staatsoper, Covent Garden, Gran Teatre del Liceu, Teatro Real de Madrid, Sydney Opera House or Berliner Philharmoniker.
She has been awarded the Gold Medal for Fine Arts Merit in 2021 and received the Lyric Oscar for Best Soprano of the Year 2021 and Best Female Voice of the Year 2016. In 2022, she was nominated for the International Opera Awards in the Opera Readers category and won the I Premio Talía de las Artes Escénicas 2023 for Best Female Lyric Performer. Saioa also had received the Teatro Real Award 2023 in addition to winning prestigious singing awards such as Manuel Ausensi, Jaume Aragall, and Vincenzo Bellini.
She has numerous recordings and live performances on TV and cinemas including Attila from Milano, La Gioconda in Barcelona, Nabucco from Parma, La Forza del Destino in Firenze, Zaira from Martina Franca and Un ballo in maschera CD recording. This year she has launched her first solo album released by EuroArts, “SAIOA: Il verismo d’oro”.
