About this Artist
Raul Vidal, originally from Guadalajara, Jalisco, began his stage career in 2011. His performance debut happened at Plaza de los Mariachis in San Juan de Dios. He then became a member of Mariachi Los Potrillos de Vicente Fernández at Rancho Los Tres Potrillos before joining Mariachi Los Toritos, where he honed his craft under the guidance of Pedro Rey and Chencho Hernández. During that time period, he trained as a vocalist with Flavio Becerra and Blanca Castaneda. Since relocating to Los Angeles in 2017, Vidal has performed as a violinist and vocalist with Mariachi Arcoiris de Los Angeles and is currently a resident violinist/vocalist in Mariachi Los Toros. In 2022, he joined YOLA (Youth Orchestra Los Angeles) at the Camino Nuevo Kayne Siart site as a violin teaching artist, later introducing the program’s first Mariachi elective and Institute Cultural Ensemble.
