Ann Cusack

About this Artist

ANN CUSACK has carved out an acting career marked by diversity. She can go from playing a district attorney in The Informant to an alcoholic mother looking for her son on the  CBS television show Criminal  Minds to a ordinary housewife in Brotherhood of Poland New Hampshire.  She moves easily from one medium to the next.

Born in Manhattan, New York  but raised in Evanston, IL she started training in improvisation and Story theater with Joyce and the Late Bryne Piven at the age of 9 years old. She received her Bachelor’s Of Fine Arts from New York University TIsch School of the Arts. Her big “break” came when Penny Marshall cast her in the feature film A League of Their Own as the illerate ball player “Shirley Baker”. She hasn’t stopped working since.

She has been seen in films such as Sensation of Sight as David Straighten’s wife, Accepted, What Planet Are You From,  Multiplicty, and  HBO’s critically acclaimed Earth To The Moon as Jan Armstrong. She has shared the screen with her siblings John and Joan Cusack in such films as Grosse Pointe Blank, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, and America’s.

Her televisions credits range from lead, series regulars and guest arcs on  show such as Scandal , Body of Proof , Private Practice, Harry’s Law, The Unit, Grey’s Anatomy. In Plain Sight, Brothers and Sisters,  HBO’s Little Britain, Army Wives, Boston Legal, Ghost Whisperer, Bones. Six Feet Under, One Tree Hill, The Jeff Foxworthy Show. The Bortherhood of Poland New Hampshire and  carried the show Maggie for Lifetime Network.

You can see her on the upcoming Showtime series Master of Sex and the film Nightcrawler to be released next year.  She sing the blues in clubs in and around Los Angeles.
