Paulist Boy Choristers

About this Artist

The PAULIST BOY CHORISTERS OF CALIFORNIA is a non-profit arts organization which aims to provide an excellent musical education to talented young choristers who live in and around Los Angeles. Since its foundation in 1977 the choir has given many notable performances, a particular highlight being the annual Messiah. The choristers have appeared with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the L.A. Master Chorale, and the Joffrey Ballet. They have also sung on numerous soundtracks and on radio and television. For the performances of the St. Matthew Passion the boy choristers are joined by some fellow girl students from the Saint Paul the Apostle School in Westwood. The current Music Director is Dr. Martin Neary (the former Organist and Master of the Choristers at Westminster Abbey), who in 1978 conducted the first performance in England of the St. Matthew Passion with period instruments.
