A star is born – COLLINS PENNIE (Benny) has braved the toughest of odds to make his dreams a reality. Collins can next be seen in his first starring lead role of the much-anticipated Sony Screen Gems sequel Stomp The Yard 2: Homecoming. In the movie, Collins Pennie stars as Chance Harris, a student juggling school, girls, job, debt, and a looming nationally televised step competition during a stressful homecoming weekend at Truth University.

Collins’ is a story of true inspiration: Born in Brooklyn, New York; Collins spent half of his childhood in numerous foster homes, only to move out on his own at the tender age of 15. An ordinary kid who quickly realized that he wanted more out of life than what the Brooklyn projects had to offer, he decided to leave an environment where drugs and violence prevailed and find a new home in the world of entertainment. Collins’ undeniable talent and determination made major industry power players take notice; after only six months pursuing his dreams, he landed his first role, playing Jimmy Gordon on the hit NBC drama Law & Order.

Collins’ other TV credits include CBS’ Without A Trace and a recurring role on the hit series CSI: Miami. His film credits include a lead role in Sony Screen Gems’ hit remake of Prom Night, which landed No. 1 in the box office, The 2006 Oscar-nominated film Half Nelson, the teen comedy Fired Up, and the MGM remake of the Oscar-nominated classic Fame.
