USC Thornton Choral Artists

Specializing in choral-orchestral works, the USC THORNTON CHORAL ARTISTS is a student ensemble with the Thornton Chamber Choir at its core, William Dehning, conductor, augmented by the Thornton Concert Choir, Magen Solomon, conductor. Depending on program needs, they number from 50 to 80 voices. The ensemble has a long history of collaboration with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, most recently performing Tristia by Berlioz in January 2004. Performances of the Thornton Choral Artists are conducted by William Dehning, chair of the choral music department at the USC Thornton School of Music.
