About this Artist

Singularity is the collaborative effort between East Los Angeles rapper/songwriter SPEAK and producer Lauro Robles, founder of Mexico City electronic collective NAAFI. The critically acclaimed joint record released in the fall of 2019 merges tales of identity, diaspora and explores the similarities and differences that connect native Mexicans to Mexican Americans. Through the deconstruction of Latin American electronic club music and bass-heavy West Coast rap, the two artists redefine their respective genres while tackling themes of economic disparity, immigration, and the dark hedonism found in their home cities.
