About this Artist

Aaron Ring (b. 2006) has been studying composition, piano, and violin since age four. He currently studies composition with Vera Ivanova and piano with Ron Anderson at Chapman University. He loves composing everything from solo piano to orchestra. Two of Ring’s string quartets were recorded by the Pacific Symphony Youth Quartet and placed First and Third in MTAC statewide composing competitions. Other recent pieces were recorded and performed at the 2024 Sunset Chamberfest Workshop and the Suncoast Composer Fellowship Program. In pursuit of his goal to spread positivity through music, Ring releases piano music (composed and performed by him) on his YouTube channel @PaintingWinterMusic and music-streaming platforms, including two recent full-length albums and an EP.

Ring enjoys creative writing (including a full-length fantasy novel), learning languages (German, Spanish, and Mandarin), and competitive skiing.
