About this Artist
Beau Chiasson, a senior at Geffen Academy at UCLA, is a composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist whose work ranges from classical to jazz to latin. His pieces have been performed by the Brightwork newmusic ensemble, the USC Orchestra, and professional musicians. His pierrot ensemble piece Portrait in Turquoise received perfect score and Grand Prize from International Youth Music Competitions. Beau has scored eleven short films and written music performed by his band, October, and his high school jazz band.
In addition to his passion for music, Beau is a 2025 Boys Nation Senator, an honors student interested in genetics, screenwriting, filmmaking, and a competitive track athlete. In the summers he works as a Special Camp support staff member.
His biggest musical influences come from great American composers: Duke Ellington and George Gershwin, as well as Cuban musician Celia Cruz, and jazz composers Charles Mingus, Chick Corea, and Nubya Garcia.
