Willie Nelson, American country singer-songwriter, actor and activist, makes his debut appearance at Walt Disney Concert Hall with a one-night-only Willie Nelson & Family concert on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 8 p.m. Lukas Nelson, Willie Nelson’s son, opens the show.

The iconic Texan is the creative genius behind historic recordings like "Crazy," "Hello Walls," “Red Headed Stranger” and “Stardust.” His career has spanned six decades. His catalog boasts more than 200 albums. He's earned every conceivable award and honor to be bestowed on a person in his profession. A thriving, relevant and progressive musical and cultural force, Willie Nelson continues to tour tirelessly, deliver new albums, publish a novel, headline Farm Aid (an event he co-founded in 1985), all the while continuing to lobby against horse slaughter and producing his own blend of biodiesel fuel.

Willie Nelson’s most recent release, Remember Me, Vol. 1, is a hand-picked selection of 14 of Nelson’s favorite Billboard country and folk songs, recorded with his long-time friend and acclaimed producer James Stroud. Artists and songwriters reflected in Nelson's versions of their songs include Ernest Tubb, Johnny Cash, George Jones, Merle Haggard, Kris Kristofferson, Rosemary Clooney, Porter Wagoner and Ray Price. In a recent review of the album, the LA Times noted, ”At 78, Nelson reminds us that his deceptively effortless vocal style can still touch the heart.” Remember Me, Vol. 2 is scheduled to be released next year.
