Program Includes Beethoven’s Fifth and Sixth Symphonies
WHAT:
The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association and public radio station Classical KUSC (91.5 FM), announce a live broadcast of the October 9, 2015 performance by Gustavo Dudamel and the LA Phil at Walt Disney Concert Hall. The broadcast begins at 8:00 PM (PDT) and will be hosted by KUSC’s Brian Lauritzen and Alan Chapman. The concert will be broadcast live locally on the radio at KUSC 91.5 FM and as a live webstream at kusc.org. Additionally, the broadcast will be available online at kusc.org as an on-demand stream for a week following the live broadcast.
The program for the evening includes Beethoven’s Fifth and Sixth Symphonies; and is part of the LA Phil’s Immortal Beethoven festival, which features Gustavo Dudamel conducting the LA Phil and Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuea (SBSOV) in two cycles of Beethoven’s iconic nine symphonies.
