Winemakers hand-selected by Hollywood Bowl Food + Wine Sommelier and Wine Director Caroline Styne

Wednesdays 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., prior to Jazz at the Bowl concerts, in the new Plaza Marketplace

LOS ANGELES, CA (July 13, 2017) - The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association announced today details of the new Wednesday Winemaker Series for the 2017 summer season at the Hollywood Bowl. This new offering from Hollywood Bowl Food + Wine will provide visitors an opportunity to participate in tastings of wines hand-selected by Caroline Styne, a four-time nominee by the James Beard Foundation for "Restauranteur of the Year."

"In our partnership with the LA Phil for the Food + Wine program, I decided to treat the Bowl like I do at my own restaurants and feature wines made by small, artisanal winemakers from California and beyond," says Styne. "I thought it would add another layer of fun and interest to have some of these winemakers visit and make themselves, as well as tastes of their wines, available to the Bowl's visitors. All of the winemakers chosen for this new tasting are among my personal favorites."

The complimentary Wednesday Winemaker Series begins on July 19, 5:00 - 7:00p.m., in the Plaza Marketplace, at the newly-renovated Box Office Plaza. The eight-week series, which includes celebrated Winemakers Fabien Castel, Sandy Garber, Gavin Chanin, Jonathan Rosensen, Brian Talley, Chad Melville, Gray Hartley, Amy Christine and Peter Hunken, coincides with the venue's Jazz at the Bowl schedule. Wines featured in the tastings are available for purchase at select Hollywood Bowl Food + Wine locations.
