The 2018 Hollywood Bowl classical season takes flight with a Bernstein Centennial celebration led by Music & Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel. Other highlights include welcome returns by beloved Hollywood Bowl guest conductors Bramwell Tovey and Stéphane Denève.

The National Ballet of Cuba teams up with Gustavo Dudamel and the LA Phil for a rare mid-summer performance of Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker. Renowned conductor-composers Thomas Adès and Matthias Pintscher make their respective Bowl debuts. Audience favorite Bramwell Tovey conducts Carmina Burana and Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy with soloist Emanuel Ax, and conductor Karina Canellakis returns, joined by pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet.
