Thibaudet Plays Bernstein
Continuing our Bernstein 100 celebration, this evening features one of Lenny’s most important works, a dramatic symphony with a concerto-level piano solo, played by virtuoso Jean-Yves Thibaudet. Opening is a terrific piece by African-American composer Julia Perry, and Brahms’ pastoral Second Symphony caps this program of contrasting delights.
