Bryonha Marie has rapidly established herself as one of the brightest young stars currently on Broadway and in the classical crossover arena. Best known for her tour de force Broadway performance in Prince of Broadway, a career retrospective of the work of Harold Prince, Bryonha has also thrilled Broadway audiences in the 2025 Broadway revival of Our Town, The Gershwin’s Porgy & Bess, Ragtime, After Midnight (featured and principal cover for Patti LaBelle, Toni Braxton, KD Lang and Fantasia), and Book of Mormon.
Bryonha’s recent concert appearances have included “Clouds in My Coffee” with Maestro Ted Sperling, and symphonic work in San Diego, Phoenix, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Jacksonville, Kansas City, Fort Wayne, and St. Louis. At New York City Center, she starred as Servant in the rarely produced Promenade and also made her Carnegie Hall principal debut as Paquet, starring opposite John Lithgow. Bryonha has had the honor of being double-cast with Audra McDonald as the Beggar Woman in Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd for the New York Philharmonic at Lincoln Center (Emmy nominated). In addition, she has also performed in Showboat and Ragtime at Lincoln Center. With the Philadelphia Orchestra, Bryonha was principal soloist in Bernstein’s Mass under the baton of Metropolitan Opera Music Director, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, for a performance that was released commercially on Deutsche Grammophon.
In the world of theatre, Bryonha will be seen in the upcoming Broadway revival of Damn Yankees! Most recent regional credits include Damn Yankees! (Arena Stage), Noises Off (Old Globe), Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd (Helen Hayes nomination) and Deloris in Sister Act (Muny). World premiere musicals include Life After (Jeff Award nomination) and DAVE (Helen Hayes Nomination). Other recent NY credits include Regina in A Commercial Jingle for Regina Comet (Off Broadway), and numerous concert appearances. She was also seen pre-pandemic touring the country as Dr. Charlotte in Falsettos.
On screen, Bryonha Marie has most recently be seen on Hulu’s hit comedy “How to Die Alone,” and “Long Bright River”. Other television credits include CBS’ Madame Secretary; PBS’ Live from Lincoln Center; the 66th and 68th Annual Tony Awards, and NBC’s The Today Show. She can also be seen as the Mayor of Bikini Bottom in SpongeBob the Musical: LIVE onstage on Nickelodeon. Bryonha is a proud member of Actors Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA.
