About this Performance
A star-filled lineup brings the spirit of Jamaica and the history of island music to the Bowl for the 21st edition of Reggae Night.
Beres Hammond approaches funked-up reggae and digital dancehall with the smoky smoothness of Otis Redding or Teddy Pendergrass, making him not only one of Jamaica’s greatest songwriters, but one of the country’s best singers, too.
Celebrating 50 years of music, the Reggae Ambassadors Third World mix R&B, funk, pop, dancehall, and rap into a distinctive reggae fusion all their own, to the tune of nine Grammy nominations and countless chart topping hits worldwide.
U.K. heroes Steel Pulse rose from the punk scene and the Rock Against Racism movement and have become one of reggae’s greatest bands. The Grammy winners have stayed close to their roots, fighting injustice and promoting positivity through spiritually uplifting music.
