FIORENZA CEDOLINS studied with Maestro Roberto Benaglio. In 1989 she made her debut at the Teatro Petruzzelli as Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus, after which she sang Madama Butterfly in Tunisia, Santuzza in Cavalleria Rusticana at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, and Leonora in Il Trovatore in Prague. In 1993 she became a guest artist of the Spalato Opera where she sang many diverse roles.
In 1996 she was one of the winners of the Luciano Pavarotti Voice Competition, and had the opportunity to sing with the great tenor in the Opera Company of Philadelphia's production of Tosca. That same year, she sang Santuzza in Cavalleria Rusticana at the Ravenna Festival under the direction of Riccardo Muti. She was finalist of the Belvedere Competition in 1997, and won the first prize of the Cairo Opera.
Since then, she has sung the major roles of Verdi, Puccini, and Donizetti in opera houses all over Europe. Her 1999/2000 season included Norma in Catania plus a recording of Norma. Naples heard her as Adriana Lecouvreur, Genoa as Manon Lescaut, Naples and Verona as Aida. Torre del Lago heard her Tosca in July 2000.
She has recorded Cilea’s Gloria, an opera that she also sang at the Festival of San Gimignano.
