About this Artist
Tenor DANIEL CHANEY has appeared with the LA Phil at the Hollywood Bowl singing the role of the Alchemist in Candide, and at Walt Disney Concert Hall as the first tenor soloist in the U.S. premiere of Magnus Lindberg’s Graffiti. Other solo appearances include the Los Angeles Bach Festival and the San Luis Obispo Mozart Festival. Daniel studied voice and horn at the University of Denver. Since moving to L.A. in 1995, he has appeared in over 80 productions with Los Angeles Opera. Now in his seventh season with the Los Angeles Master Chorale, he enjoys many solo opportunities with that group. Daniel has also sung on the soundtracks for many movies, including Avatar, Tangled, The Rite, Battle L.A., SALT, and The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.
