Since bursting on the American jazz scene with his show-stopping

performance of "Exactly Like You" with the legendary Ted Heath Orchestra at New York's Carnegie Hall in the mid 50s, London-born BOB EFFORD, who had already enjoyed considerable success in England and Europe, has gone on to delight audiences world-wide with his hard swinging, yet soulful and sensitive sax solos.

Known in his earlier days primarily as a tenor sax man, Bob has been heard more recently on baritone sax. Nominated for a Grammy award as the Best Jazz Soloist for his performance

on "Bluephoria" on Bob Florence's "Magic Time" album, Bob is known in Hollywood as a member of its elite group of studio musicians. He has been heard on countless movie scores, TV shows and recordings on clarinet, flute, oboe and bassoon, as well as sax.

Prom recording with bandleaders such as Benny Goodman through Harry James and Woody Herman, on up to today's Bill Holman and Bob Florence, artists like Tony Bennet at London's Royal Albert Halt and Dave

Pell's Prez Conference with Joe Williams, Marty Paich and Mel Tormé in

Tokyo, up to the Grammy Award-winning Natalie Cole album, Bob's credits are just too numerous to notate fully.

But while enjoying the challenge and diversity of all aspects of music, he is at his happiest playing jazz saxophone with a group of talented friends to an appreciative audience.
