About this Artist
California composer Paul Gibson spent several childhood years in a remote French hamlet where he first experienced Gregorian chant and liturgical music. He graduated in Music Composition from Mount St. Mary’s University and California State University, Northridge. He sang professionally for over three decades throughout the Southland, mostly notably in the Los Angeles Master Chorale, and served as a marketing writer/editor for the Los Angeles Philharmonic for more than 24 years.
Gibson’s music has been heard on hundreds of radio stations across North America and performed internationally (Leipzig hosted a recent premiere) by such ensembles as the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, the Debussy Trio, St. Olaf College, VocalEssence, and numerous Grammy-winning choruses, including the Los Angeles Master Chorale, the National Children’s Chorus, the LA Children’s Chorus, the Kansas City Chorale, the Phoenix Chorale, and the Los Angeles Chamber Singers. You can hear many of his pieces on YouTube, and his catalog is published by E.C. Schirmer, Alliance, and Morningstar, among others. Find out more at PaulGibsonMusic.com.
