About this Artist
Born in Vilnius, Lithuania, pianist ITAMAR GOLAN emigrated to Israel at the age of one. At the age of seven he first appeared in recitals, and from 1985 to 1989 he studied at the New England Conservatory in Boston with Leonard Shure and Patricia Zander.
Itamar Golan concentrates almost exclusively on chamber music: he has appeared with Barbara Hendricks, Maxim Vengerov, Tabea Zimmermann, Ida Haendel, and Kyung-Wha Chung, among many others. He is a frequent participant in prestigious international music festivals, such as Ravinia, Chicago, Tanglewood, Edinburgh, Besançon, Ludwigsburg, Verbier, and Prague Spring.
