About this Artist
As a member of Zappa Plays Zappa (led by Frank Zappaʼs son Dweezil) from it's inception in 2006 until 2012, guitarist JAMIE KIME has played every prestigious venue from Londonʼs Royal Albert Hall to L.A.ʼs Greek Theater. In 2009, Jamie collected a Best Rock Instrumental Grammy Award for his work with the band. In addition, he has toured and/or recorded with a diverse range of artists from singer Jewel to powerhouse Texas blues vocalist Malford Milligan. He is also a member of the house band at the world famous Baked Potato jazz club in Studio City, Ca., where he co- leads the "Monday Night Jamz", currently in it's 9th year.
Jamie studied improvisation with jazz and bebop luminary Peter Sprague, and was a longtime private student of renowned guitarist and author Ted Greene. He is also a graduate of the Musician's Institute in Hollywood, Ca., where he is now on the faculty.
