About this Artist
Soprano PATRICIA ANDRESS received her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Kentucky. Among her many honors and awards, Andress won the 2002 Heinz Rehfuss Singing-Actor competition and has been a regional finalist in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Awards for three years. Her operatic engagements have included Iza in Offenbach's Grand Duchess of Gerolstein and the High Priestess in Rameau's Hippolyte et Aricie at Opera Theater of St. Louis, Kate Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly for Nashville Opera, and Pamina and the Second Lady in The Magic Flute with the Rome Festival Orchestra. She performs Mimì in La bohème this fall on tour with Opera Theater of St. Louis. Her concert engagemets have included Brahms' A German Requiem, Dvor?ák's Te Deum, Mozart's Requiem and Mass in C-minor, and Handel's Messiah.
