Tenor LYNTON ATKINSON has been acclaimed in the title roles of Monteverdi's L'Orfeo and Il ritorno d'Ulisse with Boston Baroque and on the ensemble's Grammy-nominated recording of the Vespers.
He has sung repertoire from Bach to Britten with the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, the Hallé and Ulster orchestras, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, the Birmingham Symphony, the Royal Opera, the Amsterdam Opera, the Israel Camerata, Les Talens Lyriques, and the Rhine Opera in such venues as the Musikverein, the Concertgebouw, Berlin's Konzerthaus, Westminster Abbey, the Göttingen Festival, and Covent Garden, where he appeared in Tales of Hoffman, Fidelio, and Turandot. He has been featured on numerous European radio and television broadcasts.
