About this Artist
PÁLL RAGNAR PÁLSSON (1977) holds a Ph.D. from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre where he studied composition with Helena Tulve. In his compositions, Páll seeks inspiration from Eastern European art music; they can be described as organic linear tranformations with a spiritual undertone. Páll’s compositions have been performed widely across Europe, including the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie the the Berlin Philharmonie. Páll is a member of the board of the Composers Society of Iceland.
