About this Artist

After receiving her training as a San Francisco Opera Adler Fellow and LA Opera Domingo Thornton Young Artist, mezzo-soprano RENÉE RAPIER has gone on to make debuts with LA Opera, San Francisco Opera, Opera San Jose, Wolf Trap Opera, Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, the Ravinia Festival, and Seattle Opera. 

Rapier has recently appeared with the San Francisco Opera (Flora, La Traviata; Grimgerde, Die Walküre), Seattle Opera (Suzuki, Madama Butterfly), Opera Theatre of Saint Louis (Suzuki, Madama Butterfly), Opera Parallèle (Dinah, Trouble in Tahiti), the San Francisco Symphony (soloist, Beethoven Symphony No. 9), and the Los Angeles Philharmonic (Secretary, Nixon in China). 

Her 2018/19 season includes appearances with the Peninsula Symphony, Mise En Scène Studios, as well as a return to Opera San Jose (Suzuki, Madama Butterfly).
