About this Artist
SIA - Kate Isobelle Furler, to use the name her musician parents gave her - already has a staggering track record. If her name itself - pronounced 'See-ah' - isn't familiar to millions, her voice undoubtedly is. Sia's song "Breathe Me" was recently featured in the unforgettable final scene of the Six Feet Under series finale, and on the Six Feet Under: Everything Ends, Music from the HBO Original Series - Vol. 2 soundtrack, sales of which surged literally overnight following the airing of the episode, with fans trying to get hold of the hauntingly beautiful track.
You may also recognize her from her work with Zero 7. She added her mesmerizing drawl to two tracks on their Simple Things album back in 2000, and became the unmistakable voice of one of that year's coolest down-tempo soundtracks. From the lilting pianos and claustrophobic beats of "Breathe Me" to "Sunday"'s enchanting harmonium and breathless chant, to "The Bully" - the track she wrote with Beck - Colour The Small One is a mesmerizing album, awash with fragile beauty and swathes of sensual soul-searching.
