PAUL TUROK's orchestral works have been premiered by the Cleveland Orchestra, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Indianapolis Symphony, the New Jersey Symphony, the Louisville Orchestra, the Kennedy Center Orchestra, the Philharmonia Virtuosi, the New Jersey Philharmonic, and performed by dozens of others worldwide. His chamber music has been premiered at Lincoln Center's Tully Hall, the Library of Congress and Cleveland's Severance Hall. Foreign premieres have taken place in Paris, Tokyo and Bogotá. Recordings of his music include Three Transcendental Etudes for Piano, Passacaglia for Piano, Little Suite for Piano (Orion), Lyric Variations for Oboe and Strings (Louisville), Improvisations for English Horn, Violin and Piano (Crystal), Ragtime Caprice for Piano and Orchestra (Kleos), Threnody for Strings (Harmonia Mundi), Improvisations for Saxophone, Violin and Piano (Dana), Sonata No.1 for Cello and Piano (Music And Arts), Canzone Concertante No.5 for Violin, Piano and Wind Orchestra (Klavier). His Canzone Concertante No.10 for Piano and Strings is due for release soon (MSR) and his Aspects of Lincoln and Liberty is scheduled to appear on a release celebrating the Lincoln Bicentennial by Leonard Slatkin and the Nashville Symphony (Naxos). His English Horn Quintet was premiered at the Cleveland Orchestra Chamber Series in 1978.
