About this Artist
AARON TVEIT (Roger) originated the role of Gabe in the hit Broadway musical Next to Normal, for which he received the 2009 AEA Clarence Derwent Award for “Most Promising Actor.” He also received a Helen Hayes Award and a Lucille Lortel nomination for his work in the Tony-winning musical. In the summer of 2009, Aaron starred in the pre-Broadway try-out of the new musical Catch Me If You Can, playing con man Frank Abagnale, Jr. The musical adaptation of the film, written by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, will premiere on Broadway in the spring of 2011.
Aaron’s other Broadway credits include Wicked (Fiyero) and Hairspray (Link Larkin). He has participated in the national tours of Hairspray and Rent. Off-Broadway performance include Saved! (Playwrights Horizons) and Next to Normal (Second Stage, Arena Stage). On film, he can be seen in Premium Rush, Girl Walks into a Bar, Howl, and Ghost Town. His television credits include the recurring role of Trip van der Bilt on Gossip Girl, and guest-star roles on Ugly Betty and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
