Christopher Weldon

About this Artist

Pianist CHRISTOPHER WELDON has appeared throughout the United States and Europe as a soloist and chamber musician.  His honors include first prize at the Kosciuszko National Chopin Competition and the Gina Bachauer Scholarship at the Juilliard School.

As soloist he has performed at the International Chopin and Aspen music festivals, and has appeared with the Buffalo Philharmonic, the Brno Chamber Orchestra, the Evanston Symphony, and the Juilliard Orchestra. He has collaborated in chamber music recitals at Alice Tully Hall, the Phillips Collection, and Zipper Hall, and has appeared in the Green Umbrella series at Walt Disney Concert Hall.  He has also been featured on WNYC’s The Listening Room, and on WQXR’s McGraw-Hill Young Artists Showcase.  

Weldon holds a doctorate from the Juilliard School, where he studied with Abbey Simon. He currently serves as Director of Worship at Pacific Crossroads Church in West Los Angeles.
