About this Artist
KATHRYN WRIGHT (Hot Box Girl) grew up dancing in Toronto, Canada. She became a professional at the age of 15, when she danced at the Canadian National exhibition in a line of girls longer than the Radio City Rockettes.
At the age of 19 she moved to New York City, where she performed on Broadway in shows such as Hair, Pippin, A Chorus Line, and Dancin’. She also danced in the film Jesus Christ Superstar and toured with Follies and Two Gentlemen Of Verona. Later, she shot the video of Pippin. After moving to Los Angeles, she danced on numerous television shows and in the film Stayin’ Alive.
Kathryn Wright now teaches and choreographs for performing arts schools in L.A., which she enjoys immensely, but nothing could be more fun than doing a show again at the Hollywood Bowl. She would like to thank Donna McKechnie for this wonderful gift.
