Dylan Knowles is a 16 year old Mexican-American composer and conductor from Los Angeles, California. Shortly after he started to learn the piano at 8 years old, he began his studies as a composer, auditing music theory courses at Azusa Pacific University. In 2010 at the age of nine, Dylan's first orchestral work was performed by the Azusa Pacific University Symphony Orchestra led by Christopher Russell. In 2012, Dylan appeared on NBC's The Tonight Show with Jay Leno as a pianist performing with the group Lang Lang and Friends. In 2013, he conducted the UCLA Symphony Orchestra during a rehearsal at the behest of Jorge Luis Uzcategui, Assistant Conductor of the Spokane Symphony Orchestra. Later that same year, Dylan won 2nd Prize at the Los Angeles International Liszt Competition. In 2015, he wrote orchestral arrangements for a major studio album by singer/songwriter David Divad. Dylan's work also spans music technology and audio engineering, assisting engineer Al Schmitt in a 2013 recording session at Capitol Studios in Hollywood. Dylan later began apprenticing under renowned classical recording engineers Sergey Parfenov and Francesco Perlangeli at the Colburn School since 2014."
