About this Artist
Robert Alan Beuth is an accomplished actor, playwright, and sculptor. He began performing in the theater at the age of 12 and has been a professional actor for television, film and stage for over 40 years. His most recent television credits include Grey’s Anatomy, Betas, Bones, and Law & Order: LA. On stage, he has performed in the Getty Villa’s The Wasps and the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts’ Shear Madness.
Robert is also a skilled sculptor. Studying under Julie Taymor in New York, he makes masks and puppets for the theater. His puppets were used in the 2014 summer productions of Noah and Four Clowns in Santa Monica. Robert can also be found teaching mask acting and mask making for the Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles.
As a playwright, Robert’s work includes In the Valley of the Mist and Stories of the Season produced at the Echo Theater in December 2014. His unique plays incorporate his hand-made masks.
Robert studied acting at the William Esper Studio in New York and the Larry Moss Studio in Santa Monica. Currently, he studies clown with David Bridel at the Clown School in Los Angeles.
