About this Artist
Alexis Farahi is a senior at Milken Community High School. She began studying piano at the age of 10 under Nune Martirosian and music theory at age 14. Shortly after, she completed, with honors, the Advanced Level of the Music Teacher’s Association of California Certificate of Merit Program in Piano. Alexis has been a member of her school’s Chamber Ensemble and Concert Orchestra for four years as a pianist and percussionist. She is also part of the piano trio “Halfet”. Alexis began composing in her sophomore year under the instruction of Dr. David Brown. She has had work performed by the Los Angeles Ensemble and music embedded into exhibits at the Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust.
Alexis is honored to be a part of the LA Philharmonic’s Nancy and Barry Sander’s Fellowship Program.
