About this Artist
Luke Sterling has been a fellow in the LA Phil Composer Fellowship Program since 2018. He is an accomplished pianist, saxophonist, and music producer, and enjoys playing drums, percussion, bass, and guitar. Luke has contributed music to feature films and has scored several student and independent short films. Luke has released multiple singles as a solo artist on all streaming platforms, as well as an EP, Clairvoyance, as half of the contemporary classical-jazz fusion duo Resonance Orchestra. In the spring of 2017, Luke was the youngest writer chosen to work with legendary music producer/writer Babyface at his studio in Hollywood. He was also the youngest participant selected for the Bill Green Jazz Mentorship in 2017. He was the 2020 and 2021 winner of the DownBeat Student Music Awards for High School Small Ensemble Composition. When not making music, he studies philosophy and mythology and is an avid science fiction reader. Luke is currently a senior at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts where he majors in music.
