About this Artist
A resident of Thousand Oaks, Aidan Vass is a 17-year-old composer. He has been writing music since 2016 and studies composition with Brett Banducci. Aidan is a National YoungArts winner and a first-place winner of the MTAC Young Composers State Contest. He was also a finalist for the 2020 ASCAP Morton Gould Award as well as the National Young Composers Challenge. He has participated in the Sunset Chamberfest Young Composers’ Workshop from 2018 to 2020 and has been a fellow in the LA Phil Composer Fellowship Program since 2018. Aidan is also active as a pianist and has completed his CMEA Certificate of Merit (level 10) and was named a National Winner in the National Guild of Piano Teachers for both 2018 and 2019.
