Founded in 2007 by Lillian Barbeito and Tina Finkelman Berkett, BODYTRAFFIC is a Los Angeles-based repertory dance company that commissions today’s most distinctive choreographers. Current repertory includes works by Stijn Celis, Sarah Elgart, Alex Ketley, Barak Marshall, Andrea Miller, Laura Gorenstein Miller, Richard Siegal, and Guy Weizman & Roni Haver. BODYTRAFFIC has performed at numerous venues in Los Angeles, including The Broad Stage, Alex Theatre, Aratani/Japan America Theatre, Brand Library, The Sharon Disney Lund Dance Theater, Colburn Dance Institute, Ford Amphitheatre, Glorya Kaufman Hall at UCLA, Luckman Fine Arts Complex, REDCAT, Robert B. Moore Theater, Saban Theatre, and Wadsworth Theatre. Outside LA, the company has performed at Rialto Center for the Arts, Duncan Theatre, Z Space, ODC Theater, and at the Chutzpah! and Laguna Dance Festivals.

In June 2012 BODYTRAFFIC made their Joyce Theater (NYC) debut during Gotham Dance Festival. BODYTRAFFIC, in collaboration with Barak Marshall, had the honor of winning first prize at The A.W.A.R.D. Show! 2011: Los Angeles. BODYTRAFFIC has received generous support from The Joyce Theater Foundation, The Mortimer & Mimi Levitt Foundation, Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles, and The Rosalinde and Arthur Gilbert Foundation. BODYTRAFFIC provides a wide range of training opportunities for both pre-professional and working dancers through open company classes and workshops. BODYTRAFFIC’s outreach program provides dance classes and rehearsal access to inner-city schools in Los Angeles.
