Noah Godard

About this Artist

Noah Godard is a 17-year-old junior at Moorpark High School, where he plays in the Wind Ensemble and Jazz A Band. Noah studies composition with Brett Banducci and has been a fellow in the LA Phil Nancy and Barry Sanders Composer Fellowship Program since 2019. He has also been accepted to several other composition programs, including MATA Jr., Sunset , and Curtis Summerfest. Noah has thrice been named a finalist in the ASCAP Morton Gould Young Composer Awards and was given an Honorable Mention in the NextNotes High School Music Creator Awards. 

Besides composition, Noah studies oboe with Jason Kennedy and jazz piano with Matt Harris. He has been awarded scholarships to the Stanford Jazz Institute and the Idyllwild Arts Summer Program and has performed in honor bands at the state, regional, and county levels. 

When not playing or composing music, Noah enjoys bonsai, linguistics, and cooking.
