About this Artist
Noah Godard is an 18-year-old senior at Moorpark High School, where he is a member of the wind ensemble, Jazz A, and jazz combos. Noah studies composition with Brett Banducci and has been a fellow in the LA Phil Composer Fellowship Program since 2019. He has also taken part in several other composition programs, including MATA Jr., Yellow Barn, and Sunset ChamberFest. Noah has been named a finalist in the ASCAP Morton Gould Young Composer Awards four times and was a 2021 YoungArts Finalist in music composition. Besides composition, Noah studies oboe with Jason Kennedy and jazz piano with Matt Harris. He has been awarded scholarships to the Stanford Jazz Institute and the Idyllwild Arts Summer Program and has performed in honor bands at the state, regional, and county levels. When he’s not playing or composing music, Noah enjoys bonsai, linguistics, and tea.
